Never one to take no for an answer, Jason Egan has excelled throughout the years by making the impossible more than achievable for numerous events, venues, businesses, entertainers and more. Determination and a talent for developing, launching, sustaining and repairing businesses have made Egan a rare commodity.
A native of Omaha, Nebraska Egan embarked on his first journey as an entrepreneur in his early teens – launching a party-planning business for parents in the local community. The response and rapid growth was so astounding that soon he had to turn down clientele, driving him to learn even more about the entertainment industry and brainstorming events. His uncle, an executive producer known for working with countless headliners, let a zealous Egan work alongside him to gain experience in the entertainment realm.
After graduating from high school, Egan attended the University of Nebraska as a business major and after a few short months in the college town quickly surveyed the prospect for a business opportunity. Always having an affinity for all things Halloween, Egan launched the very first stand alone, fully-operational haunted attraction in the town leading him down his first path in logistic and operations of a large-scale venue. Thus began two decades of being helmed as one of the top creators and masterminds in the Halloween industry.
In 2001, Egan relocated to Southern Nevada. The drastic change struck some as an odd choice however staying true to his past business experience Egan had a plan. Much research and planning had gone into his decision as the young entrepreneur found that the Southern Nevada market was lacking in events like his. At the very young age of 23 he single-handedly negotiated a deal with MGM Resorts and launched his haunted attraction – Fright Dome at Circus Circus inside of the 250,000 square foot indoor theme park. In the time since, he has grown Fright Dome into one of the top ranked Halloween attractions in the world.
Over the years Fright Dome’s reputation for being one of the most terrifying events in the nation has led to many celebrity visitors including Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, David Copperfield, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, George A Romero, Marlon Wayans, Dana White, Mike Tyson and many more. Not only has Egan’s work been a magnet for high-profile celebrities but his work and his life have been chronicled by media outlets around the world including USA Today, the LA Times, HGTV, the Travel Channel, CNN, HISTORY and many more.
